Our A/C wasn't working, so we set an appointment for later in the week. They called us back later the same day, when a time opened up. The service was excellent and our A/C is blowing icy cold again. My husband and I have been using this company for over a year now. When we purchased our home, we were told this company installed the unit and were given paperwork on the warranty with the purchase of our home. We’ve decided to continue with this company as if they installed the unit and we felt they would be able to provide it with the care we need. We signed up for the yearly care plan, which provides us with 2 covered maintenance visits a year, 3 free filters a maintenance visit, a free service call, and among other perks. On my first maintenance call, the man was very nice but belittled me about the knowledge of my home. I passed this off as I figured this was a one time accurate. My first service call the man was much nicer, but when it came to the end of the visit he tried to charge me $69 for the visit. I reminded him that I was covered under my free service call. He said “oh yeah you are right.” I took it as an honest mistake and moved on. Since the issue was unresolved that visit, I had to use a callback visit in which items were replaced on the system. The man who replaced the items refused to believe this company installed the system (the company stickers are on the system and I have the warranty information). The total visit cost me about $490, I was under the impression I had a discount on these types of repairs plus the callback being free. This was not the case. Apparently this was not covered under the warranty either? Either way, I paid the price but I was left a little unsettled about it. The past week, I used my second maintenance visit. The man was nice but when all was said and done he was trying to skip out on giving me my three filters. When I asked for the filters, he told me I would get them on my next visit. When I questioned him he did bring me filters, but just two because he insisted he changed my filter while he was working. I had just put a brand new filter two weeks prior. He did not come in with a filter so if that was true he used one of my filters to change it. I also didn’t see him leave with a discarded filter so I decided to check my camera and sure enough, he didn’t change my filter. It was a lie. I also renewed my year service plan and when I checked the bill I was charged a penny for the free maintenance visit. I know the penny is so minimal that it’s not worth being upset, but after this last visit I’ve been second guessing every situation I’ve been in with this company. I know the techs need to get paid and probably make commissions of sales but I hate feeling like I’m being scammed. Sad part is, if he would have just gave me my third filter I probably wouldn’t even be looking over all these matters. I hate feeling like the techs are trying to pull one over on me. I’ll give this next year of service another chance, while being extra vigilant but if this is what I have to expect from this company then I will not be returning as a customer.
